NWI Make a Difference Foundation, Inc. receives, manages, and disburses funds for grassroots recovery and community-support efforts across Northwest Indiana. We also partner directly with local organizations on fundraisers and benefits — including VFW Post 6841, the Lowell Chamber of Commerce, and the Shelby Parks Department.
NWI MAD serves as fiscal agent for NC-LTRG, a community-led coalition supporting uninsured and underinsured Newton County households.
Community recovery groups we sponsor — like NC-LTRG — decide who gets help, how much, and when. NWI MAD does not direct case decisions, eligibility calls, or program priorities.
NWI MAD holds a dedicated account for each program, reviews and authorizes every disbursement, issues donor receipts, and reports finances back to the group on a regular schedule — so donors and grantors can trust exactly where funds go.
NWI Make a Difference Foundation, Inc. is a nonprofit corporation exempt under Section 501(c)(3). A completed IRS Form W-9 is available to any donor or grantor on request. You can independently verify our status using the IRS Tax Exempt Organization Search.
